Bird Watching

We are Truly Blessed

There are over 260 species of birds migrating through our back yard, and this is just a short list of what you might see on any given day while you sip your coffee on our patio:

Bald Eagle, Blue Haron, Merganzer, Stellar Jays, Turkey Vulture , Sharp-shinned Hawk, Rufous Hummingbird, Olive-sided Flycatcher, Western Wood Pewee, Hammond’s Flycatcher, Cassin’s Vireo, Red-eyed Vireo, Warbling Vireo, Swainson’s Thrush, Nashville Warbler, Yellow Warbler, Townsend’s Warbler, American Redstart, MacGillvray’s Warbler, Wilson’s Warbler, Western Tanager, Black-headed Grosbeak, Lincoln’s Sparrow, Bulluck’s Oriole, Golden Eagle, Osprey, Sharshinned Hawk, and several species of finches.

Protecting Our Birds – Without preserving shade grown coffee plants in the rain forests, many of the birds may not frequent our yards in the future. This is one reason it is important to Strawhouse Resorts to maintain balance and protect creation, while making use of its gifts. We at STRAWHOUSE strive to make sure our products and/or how they are grown, harvested and marketed meet the needs socially and environmentally whenever possible.
